All Cancer Council T2T services remain operational across NSW. We are monitoring the fuel situation closely and will make necessary adjustments if circumstances change.
You can help us maximise our ability to transport clients, while managing the impact of high fuel costs, by supporting the following:
- When referring to T2T, please only refer patients who have no other transport options. This allows us to prioritise those with the greatest need, particularly as demand continues to increase.
- Where clients live near each other, please assist by scheduling appointments at similar times so they can be transported together.
- As a result, some clients may need to align with shared transport schedules, which could lead to longer waiting periods at treatment centres or hospitals. Your support in setting this expectation is appreciated.
- If a client has no transport options due to fuel costs, please include this in your request so we can assess whether other Cancer Council services may be appropriate. Please note that financial support services are means tested.
