Dr Marianne Weber
Dr Marianne Weber is a Research Fellow at Cancer Council NSW, working in cancer epidemiology for the past 10 years.
She is Cancer Council’s lead investigator on the 45 and Up Study, the largest prospective cohort study ever undertaken in Australia. She has used the study to report on key factors related to cancer outcomes such as screening uptake and tobacco use.
Marianne has research interests in modifiable risk factors for cancer such as alcohol consumption, physical activity, and smoking. She is currently involved in the development stages of a program of work around lung cancer that includes risk prediction tools for lung cancer and cost effectiveness models for lung cancer screening.
She has PhD in Psychology and is an adjunct lecturer in the School of Public Health at Sydney University.
