The study of methods to promote the adoption and integration of evidence-based practices and interventions into routine health care and public health settings, to improve our impact on population health.
- Evidence-based practice: Making healthcare or public health decisions using the best available research evidence, together with professional expertise and the needs and preferences of the people affected.
- Knowledge translation: The process of making sure research findings are shared, understood and used by the people who can apply them, including health professionals, policy makers, researchers and the community.
- Health services research: Research that looks at how healthcare is organised, delivered and improved. It can help identify better ways to provide care, reduce gaps and improve outcomes.
