The POSH auction was held on 28 March and was a wonderful success, raising $850,000. 

 

Over the last 10 years, POSH has raised $5,859,000, which has funded research into new treatments, and provided practical and emotional support to those affected by cancer.

Cancer Council NSW would like to thank all of our guests who attended POSH this year, as well as our sponsors, corporate partners and volunteers.

Over 710 people attended this year’s gala ball in the Westin Ballroom, many of whom gave very generously to support Cancer Council’s work in the fight against cancer. The audience enjoyed a wonderful presentation by Professor Ian Frazer, Australian of the Year (2006) who is well known for discovering the vaccine for cervical cancer. Guests also enjoyed a delicious three-course dinner and danced the night away to the music of Network.

Comedian Vince Sorrenti, once again donated his services for his 10th POSH auction and kept everyone entertained as MC and keynote speaker.
