Introduction

The Cancer Council NSW (TCCN) is pleased to be in a position to award up to 3 travel grants per annum to enable nurses working in the oncology and palliative care field to present a paper at a relevant conference within Australia.

Terms and Conditions

  1. Applicant must be currently registered and employed as an oncology or palliative care nurse in New South Wales

  2. Applicant must have had an abstract for the conference submitted and accepted before they apply for the grant. Abstracts accepted as a poster presentation may be considered for a grant on an individual basis.

  3. Amount of up to $1500 will be reimbursed for airfares (or other alternative transport costs), conference registration and accommodation

  4. Travel grant money will be reimbursed to successful applicants after the conference on presentation of receipts

  5. Successful applicants will be required to send an electronic copy of their paper to TCCN for lodgement in TCCN library and internal distribution within TCCN

  6. Successful applicants will be required to present their paper to TCCN staff at a mutually convenient date and location within three months of presenting the paper at the conference

  7. Successful applicants will be required to acknowledge the sponsorship of TCCN as part of their presentation at the conference

  8. Applications will be considered on their merit, and reviewed by a panel
