Vanessa Rock

Vanessa Rock
As the Skin Cancer Prevention Manager at Cancer Council NSW, Vanessa Rock’s role was to support the NSW community to minimize overexposure to UV radiation to reduce incidences and mortality of skin cancer in the long term. Vanessa and her team have been active in implementing skin cancer prevention programs and campaigns with a focus on prevention, early diagnosis and treatment information, and education programs across NSW as well as advocating for improved sun protection within local communities. Cancer Council NSW uses best practice social marketing principles and community engagement strategies in order to address its strategic priorities in helping to reduce the risk of skin cancer in the community. Vanessa has experience in health, education and the business sector. She has both a Bachelor of Education and Bachelor of Adult Education.
