Marianne has been a Cancer Epidemiologist at Cancer Council NSW since 2006. She is a Senior Research Fellow with a PhD in Psychology from the University of NSW and has an Adjunct Senior Lecturer position with the University of Sydney.
She leads the lung cancer research group at Cancer Council NSW, which combines expertise in modelling, biostatistics, and epidemiology, and aims to optimise current and novel interventions for lung cancer prevention, early detection, and treatment.
She is a lead investigator on the 45 and Up Study, which is a large prospective cohort study managed by the Sax Institute and has used the study to report on key factors related to cancer outcomes such as cancer screening uptake, tobacco use and alcohol consumption.
