Liz King

Manager, Skin Cancer Prevention
Liz King
As Manager of Skin Cancer Prevention at Cancer Council NSW, Liz leads the implementation of sun protection programs across various settings, to enable good sun protection practices that will reduce the risk of skin cancer, and improve the health and wellbeing of people living in NSW. Liz also works closely with key agencies across NSW to guide the implementation of skin cancer prevention policies and key messaging, while also working nationally with the federation of Cancer Councils to guide coordinated skin cancer prevention policy and program delivery. With a background in psychology, Liz has worked in public health and cancer prevention for over fifteen years, supporting the development of national and state based social marketing campaigns and programs including BreastScreen Australia, the National Bowel Cancer Screening Program and the NSW Get Healthy Service. Liz has a breadth of strategic program delivery and stakeholder engagement experience guiding program development, implementation and evaluation. Liz is passionate about the translation of research into strategic policy and effective program development, and has been an investigator across various research grants.
