Annette is the Manager of the Cancer Peer Support and Counselling programs and has been working with Cancer Council NSW since 2010.
She now leads a team of health professionals, volunteers and stakeholders to deliver a suite of complementary supportive care programs. The peer support and counselling programs provide valuable information about coping with cancer and help to reduce feelings of anxiety and social isolation associated with the impacts of cancer. This emotional support is available for the person experiencing a cancer diagnosis, along with their family, friends and carers.
Working in project management within corporate and community services for 22 years, Annette has experience in program strategic planning, delivery and evaluation. Annette is motivated to extend the reach and effectiveness of supportive care for people affected by cancer, collaborating with allied organisations and university colleagues to enable research projects and the implementation of innovative best practice in cancer information and support services.
