Why volunteer with us?

As Australia’s leading cancer charity, we work across every area of every cancer, supporting those affected by cancer, speaking out on behalf of the community on cancer issues, empowering people to reduce their cancer risk, and finding new ways to better detect and treat cancer. This diverse work offers varied and exciting volunteer opportunities in areas such as transport-to treatment, hospital information centres, peer-to-peer support, advocacy, speakers, fundraising, events, research as well as volunteer roles in operational functions such as Finance and HR.

Volunteering can be a lot of fun and is a great way of meeting people and finding new friends in your local area. Our volunteers benefit from learning new skills, gaining valuable work experience, applying professional skills to work that makes a difference and the satisfaction of giving back to our cause. Whatever your motivation, you can be sure that your efforts will be making a real contribution to the vital work of Cancer Council NSW.
