Volunteer collaborations

Thank you Turbans 4 Australia for three years of support.

Turbans 4 Australia has been generously supporting Cancer Council NSW events in the Greater Sydney region for the past three years, by volunteering and providing pro bono support so that we can continue to invest more funds into our mission.

Turbans 4 Australia is a community group that aim to encourage and involve Sikh Community of Australia to help anyone in need in Australia. President, Amar Singh said they choose to support Cancer Council NSW “as it serves the community on a very broad spectrum.”

Turbans 4 Australia have been involved in the iconic City2Surf for the past two years generously providing healthy, fresh and delicious catering for our VIP fundraisers and volunteering on the day. “We are always met with an enthusiastic events team and it always great to interact with participants and athletes,” Amar said.

They were also involved in the Fairfield Relay For Life in 2016 and in early this year they joined us for a new partnership at HSBC Sydney Sevens. Here they catered for over 135 hard working volunteers who beat the heat to raise over $12,265 for Cancer Council. The volunteers were so thankful to be treated to fresh fruit and cold water the whole weekend.

Their members have a great community spirit, friendly nature and are dedicated to helping Australians. It is a pleasure to work with Turbans 4 Australia, a very community-minded organisation, and we thank them for their generous and ongoing support. We look forward to working with them again during the year!
