Accommodation for patients and carers
Accommodation is often needed for carers and outpatients who live too far away to commute to their treatment centre. Cancer Council can connect them with accommodation centres and services. Click here for more information.
Emergency financial assistance
Cancer Council NSW provides emergency financial assistance to people affected by cancer and financial disadvantage. Assistance is available only once and is limited to $350. Click here for more information.
Financial counselling is a free community service provided by financial counsellors working in non-profit organisations that assist consumers who are experiencing financial problems. Click here for more information.
In home help
In home support programs support people who have been diagnosed with cancer and their families deal with day to day household tasks such as light housework. Click here for more information.
Legal and financial planning referral services
Our Pro Bono Program provides people affected by cancer with access to free legal, financial, workplace and small business advice if they cannot afford to pay for it. Click here for more information.
