Friday 17 June saw hordes of Sydney offices empty to take part in the Cancer Council's City Mile Dash held at Barangaroo.

Local, John Johnson led a pack of nearly 1000 to win the 1.6km run in a record time. In the process he helped raise $120,000 which will be invested in vital cancer research, prevention, information and support.

"It was great buzz to be involved in such a fun and worthy cause, I really enjoyed the opportunity to get out of the office with workmates for fresh air and exercise"

Cancer Council CEO Dr Andrew Penman congratulated John saying "One third of cancer is preventable through healthy lifestyle choices and regular exercise. John participating today is a great example, proving that you don't have to slog it out for hours in the gym to exercise and stay healthy."
