The CLEAR Study – Help us find the answers
What really causes cancer?
Lifestyle? Genes? Help us find the answers.
We invite you to make a very real difference by enrolling in this ground-breaking research project!
What is the CLEAR Study?
The CLEAR Study is a data and biobanking initiative which will provide researchers with the most comprehensive information ever gathered about the lifestyle and genetic factors that influence cancer in the NSW community.
The findings of this ground-breaking study are expected to lead to a much better understanding of what causes cancer.
What does it involve?
Participation in the CLEAR Study involves completing a survey, and providing a small blood sample (optional). Both are a one-time-only activity, and there are no further obligations. It's that simple to help us find the answer to "˜what really causes cancer?'
How can you help?
If you or your partner has been diagnosed with cancer, for the first time, in the past 18 months, you're over 18 and you live in NSW, you can help us in the CLEAR Study.
Why help?
If you or a loved one has been diagnosed with cancer, you'll know that one of the first questions asked is "˜why?'. CLEAR is the first study of its kind in NSW, so you'll be helping Cancer Council NSW find the answers to that often-asked question "˜what really causes cancer?'.
Your story, or the story of someone you know, will help us find the answers.
With your help, we can reach our goal of over 10,000 study participants enrolled by the end of 2012!
