Leave a Gift in Your Will

Why leave a  gift in your Will  to Cancer Council?

Every year, in NSW alone, more than 36,000 new cases of cancer are expected to be diagnosed - about 100 each and every day in NSW. On average, 36 people will die of the disease in this state, and the impacts on families, carers and communities are considerable.

For all of us at Cancer Council NSW - our staff, volunteers and supporters - our mission is to diminish the toll wrought by every cancer diagnosis and death. Through world leading research, prevention, advocacy and support, we hope to spare countless families and friends unbearable pain and loss, by helping patients survive a cancer diagnosis and give men, women and children another chance to enjoy life with their loved ones.

Cancer Council NSW is an independent organisation almost entirely community funded, with 96% of our income coming directly from the community and investments. We are heavily reliant on Bequests - they contribute 25% of all income annually, our work can only continue having a major impact on reducing cancer and improving outcomes for patients facing the disease, with the help of extraordinarily generous people who choose to remember Cancer Council NSW in their Will.
